The brain is the most complex organ in the body, readmakedo made up of as many neurons as there are stars in a galaxy. To try to draw conclusions about staff behaviour, from a few studies we have read on the brain, is likely to end in disaster!
The truth is: if scientists were able to explain exactly what the brain is doing when you brush your teeth in the morning it would be a major breakthrough. There is still so much to learn about the workings of the brain that, in as little as twenty years time, we may look back and laugh at some of the conclusions we make today.
So we have to be very careful with any information we start applying to business – there is still so much that is not known and is little more than just guesswork.
